Hi katrina-accountp,

There are two ways on how you can view you unbilled income in QuickBooks Online. It can be done by going to All Sales tab and use the filter option or run an Unbilled Charges report (report is available in QuickBooks Online Plus only).

Option 1: To run unbilled income in All sales tab

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions and then select All sales (or go to Sales> All sales).
  2. On Type dropdown menu, select Unbilled income
  3. Set the preferred report period.

Option 2: Run an Unbilled Charges report

  1. Go to Reports tab and search for Unbilled Charges
  2. Select a Report period
  3. Select Run report

Let me know if you need any help, katrina-accountp. Have a great day!

Thank you but these reports still don't show total summary but lists transactions including totals.

Thanks for your response, katrina-accountp. Currently the reports provided earlier will show you the total amount of both unbilled charges and billable expense charge. If you need to see the total amount for unbilled charges and billable expense charge separately, you can customise the Unbilled Charges report. Here's how:

  1. On Reports tab, search for Unbilled Charges
  2. Select a Report period.
  3. On Group by dropdown menu, select Transaction Type.
  4. Select Run report
