We aim to make sure your experience aligns with our standards, @sales303. Let me take a moment to address your concerns about the financial year displayed in your QuickBooks Online dashboard.

The Dashboard showing FY23/24 instead of FY24/25 in the report is due to the starting month input in the First month of the Fiscal Year section within the Accounts and Settings.

Let's check your company settings to verify the financial year set-up.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select the Account and Settings from the drop-down menu.
  4. Navigate to the Advanced option and go to the Accounting section.
  5. Tap the Pencil icon and choose the desired month under the First Month of Fiscal Year set to July.
  6. Verify the First month of the tax year aligns with the financial year.
  7. Once done, click Save and Done to finalize the changes.

After completing these steps, revisit the Dashboard page to check if the issue persists. If the current setup remains unchanged, try toggling it to a different month, saving the changes, switching it back to July, and saving it once again. Then, verify the dashboard page for any differences.

If you get the same issue with your reports, I recommend contacting the Support Team for further assistance.

In the meantime, it would be beneficial to double-check by running the Profit and Loss report in the Reports tab to verify if the figure displayed when running the report for This Financial year is accurate.

Here's how:

  1. Click on the Reports tab.
  2. Select the Profit and Loss report.
  3. Set the Report period and the Accounting Method.
  4. Click on Run Report.

For future reference, we also have a variety of reports you can pull up to check up on your data: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to come back if you need further assistance with the financial reports of your QBO account. We are more than happy to assist.
