The behavior you have experience when adding expenses from receipts in QuickBooks Online is an ongoing issue with reported Product Investigation number INV-107892. Our Product Engineers have been notified and are working on a fix.
In the meantime, please log in to your QBO account using a web browser and manually create a new expense transaction from the snapped receipts.
While we don't have an exact timeframe for a fix. I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, they can add your company details to the list of affected users. Once you're added, we can immediately notify you once the issue has been fixed.
