Hi there, MASTERCRANES21.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be providing steps to ensure you're able to see overdue invoices accurately in your QuickBooks Online.

To start with, I suggest using the advanced search feature. This is used to find the transaction you're looking for once entries do not appear on the results list. This way, you're able to verify if those missing overdue invoices are still in your QBO account.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Magnifying Glass at the upper right corner.
  2. Enter the date, amount, or transaction number you’re looking for and select the desired transaction.
  3. Click the Advanced Search.
  4. Adjust the filters to find the type of data you want. For example, use the following filters to find all transactions from the past 30 days with a value of $100.
  5. Change Reference no. to Last Modified Date. Then, Change Today to the Past 30 Days.
  6. Select Search. This should give you a list of transactions that meet your filter criteria.
  7. Select Add Filter.

You can click this article to see further details: Search for transactions.

Once you're able to view the missing overdue invoices from the Advanced search not showing on the actual summary, it could be the cache full of history and temp files that caused unexpected behaviors. That said, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.

However, if you're still unable to see overdue invoices, you'll have to create a Journal entry. This lets you move money or transactions between accounts and make your books balance in specific ways. To ensure your records are in shipshape, I suggest consulting an accountant before performing the process. They can provide suggestions on how to properly handle the entries, especially with the category to use for the debit and credit.

Keep me posted if you have further concerns about invoices in QuickBooks Online. I'll be on the lookout for your response. Have a good one.
