Update your billing and subscription info in QuickBooks Online

Find out how to manage your payment and plan info in QuickBooks Online.

With the Billing Subscription tab, you can easily update your credit card info, upgrade or downgrade your subscription, or make other changes to your account. To start, watch our video tutorial or follow the steps below.

  1. Select Settings ⚙, then select Account and Settings.
    Can’t see Account and Settings?
    Your company might be tied to Wholesale Billing or you might not have enough access rights. Contact the master admin to change your access rights.

  2. Select Billing Subscription.
  3. To update your payment info, select Edit then enter the details.
  4. To make other changes in your account, here’s a quick guide to what you can do:

Upgrade your subscription

  1. In the QuickBooks Online tile, select Upgrade your planNote: If you can’t see it, you’re already using the plan with the most features.
  2. Select the plan that better suits your business.

Downgrade your subscription

  1. In the QuickBooks Online tile, select Downgrade your planNote: If you can’t see it, you’re already using the basic plan.
  2. Select the plan that better suits your business.
  3. Cancel subscription. Note: Make sure you’re logged in as the admin.
  4. In the QuickBooks Online tile, select Cancel your plan. If you’re on trial, select Cancel your trial.
  5. Follow the steps to cancel your subscription.
  6. The admin receives an email that confirms the subscription is cancelled.

View your payment history

In the QuickBooks Online tile, select View Payment History. Your billing history shows the last 6 months’ bills.

Subscribe to QuickBooks Payroll

In the QuickBooks Payroll tile, select Buy now or Free 30-day trial. Then, follow the steps to set up your payroll subscription.
