Can you please provide some information on where you are seeing a requirement to create a forecast report? I'd be happy to take a look into some options if you have specifics on what you need.

Thanks for the reply.

 

I was advised to create a forecast report for use when applying for jobkeeper. Tbh, I actually do not know why.

 

Anyway, this morning, when I logged into QB online a pop up window displayed which enabled me to run a P&L report for the month of March when included a column "%Change" which enabled me to make sure that I meet the %30 decrease requirement for the Job Keeper.

The issue I now face,, although I saved a copy of the report at the time, I can not find the report in my QB and I do not seem to be able to add a column to the P&L compare report, maybe I don't have access to do this using the QB simple version.

 

Would just be good to be able to run this periodically..

 

I guess the forecast report as advised would have been giving me a view of this same information.

Also, with regards to the set up process for Job Keeper in QB.

 

The Job keeper setup article for QD seems to relate to accounts that have employees and are using the payroll module of QB.

 

What about a sole trader such as myself that does NOT employees and do not use the payroll module?

 

What is required in my case other than setting up the two charts of account?

I assume the monthly report, or whatever, would be done online to the ATO.

Hi tony_D,

 

While that particular report isn't currently available in Simple Start, we are working to make this available for all users. In the meantime, you can use this link when you are logged in to the file and it should generate the report for you. 

 

The ATO has a page specifically for setting up and reporting requirements for sole traders here. Each step will walk you through how to identify yourself as an eligible business participant and how to make your reports (using myGov, in the Business Portal or by your registered tax or BAS agent).
