Troubleshooting Quick-Start Guide for the QuickBooks Online app

Here are some quick steps to fix most app-related issues.

Tip: Contact the support team using a different device from the one we will be helping you with.

  1. Change the data connection on your device.
    • If connected to Wifi, turn it off and use mobile data.
    • If connected to mobile data, connect to Wifi.
  2. Close and restart the app.
  3. Clear app data.
    • There are two places to clear app data and remove cached data:
      • In the QuickBooks Online app:
          • Android: From More Options ⋮, select Settings, then select Refresh Data, and then choose Yes.

        • iOS: From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback, select Refresh Data, and then select Refresh.
      • In your device Settings:
          • Android: From your device's Settings, select Apps (varies by device), choose QuickBooks app from the list, and then select Storage. Finally, select clear data.

        • iOS: From your device's Settings, select Setting General iPhone Storage and choose an an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.
  4. Power down and restart your device.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall the app.
