The Switch company option is available if you have added additional company files in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Just click the Gear icon on the top menu and tap the Switch company option.
If that option is unavailable, it means you only have one company or QBO subscription. One company file is equivalent to one subscription. If you want to add a new one, we can create or subscribe to another company or create a new company and add subscriptions.

You just need to make sure you have invited yourself into both companies with the same email then you'd be able to switch in between once you logged in.

The instructions on adding a company to a existing online account are horrible. the customer service in chat was horrible. I just want t add a 4th company to my existing account and noone has done anythging to help solve the problem

I am located in UAE and I want to add a new company which is in the Philippines.
I got the link from our Philippine contact for the local Quickbook version but it will not allow me to pay or add from my existing account here in UAE.

Hi, apologies I did not realized that this is an AU site. Your discussion came out when I goggled the topic!=)
The error I had was the link given from our Philippine contact did not allow me to pay for the subscription from UAE. I have now resolved this by setting up a new company using the country option. Still gives me the Philippine version but I will be able to pay and set-up from UAE. I guess the sales person from the Philippines will no longer get his commission.
