Can I still approve Tsheets time in QBO?

There used to be a button directly in QBO to approve Tsheets timesheets. It has disappeared. Am I able to still approve Tsheets time in QBO? If so, then how do I get to it please?

Can I still approve Tsheets time in QBO?

Hi KarlinOz,

Thank you for trying all our recommended troubleshooting. I have outlined the steps below with screenshots to view and approve these timesheets in QuickBooks Online:

  1. Select the +New button in the top left hand corner, then Approve Time
  2. You can then Approve the timesheets here:

Once they are approved here, you can then approve in payroll:

  1.  Go to the Employees tab
  2. Select Manage Employees, then Import Timesheets
  3. Select import from 'QuickBooks' and your desired date range, then import and follow prompts to Approve

If you do not see the options above or require further assistance, I would strongly encourage you to reach out to our team for further investigation and record this use case in our system as we want to support you to have this matter resolved.

  1.  In your QuickBooks Online, click the Help menu in the upper-right corner.
  2.  Select Contact us and enter the details of your concern.
  3. Click Let's talk and choose Chat or Get a callback.
  4. Enter the required information.

Can I still approve Tsheets time in QBO?

Hi KarlinOz,

It looks as though the 'Approve Timesheets' button shortcut has been changed.

To find it, just go to the Employees tab and select Manage Employees and select Approve Timesheets.

If you still can't see it, then you might need to import the timesheet from Tsheets first by selecting Manage Employees and then Import Timesheets.

Hope this helps, come back if you're still having troubles.

Kristian.

Thanks for your response @Kristian_S

I have found the link you suggested. The interface is so different to what it was that it is unrecognisable. I select to show timesheets for this week but none are shown. It seems it is not pulling data from Tsheets any more like it used to. Last year I never had to do a push from Tsheets.

Hi KarlinOz-

Could you let me know the process you have been used to in approving your TSheets Timesheets? Not only with approving them in QuickBooks, but how you were approving in TSheets as well.

Also let me know what browser you are using to access QuickBooks; Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc. As well as if anything has changed about your business, for example, are you using the same log in as you always have been. (Not all users have the same permissions in the QuickBooks Employees tab.

Keep me posted and we'll continue to troublshoot and find a solution.

Can I still approve Tsheets time in QBO?

Hi @christine_w ,

Up until the start of this year in QBO I was hitting an icon at the top of the home Screen, I think it was a + icon and it was labelled something like (New) Approve Timesheets directly in Quickbooks. This was simple and it worked.

In Tsheets I am now using the Approvals link on the left, choosing Custom Date Range (because I do a month at a time - it would be better if there were an option for By Month there too), then I select the user and approve.

In QBO now I tried, per @Kristian_S 's response, going to Employees > Manage Employees > Approve timesheets. I then click on the Show timesheets for period link to change the date picker to a calendar, choose last month. No entries show up. So, I click the link again Show timesheets for period to change the date picker to Week ending. Then I use the picker immediately to the right of that to cycle through weeks but no entries show. There are some unapproved entries in Tsheets.

As I said, prior to January this year the (New) Tsheets timesheet approval worked fine in QBO without having to do any manual syncrhosnisations.

Thanks for clarifying KarlInOz-

So, has your pay schedule changed this calendar year? Or have you always been using the custom date range?

Can you try instead of Employees > Manage Employees > Approve timesheets, Import Timesheets?

Let me know if you are able to see TSheets as an option and bring them in that way.

Hi @christine_w ,

I have always been using the custom date range.

Employees > Manage Employees > Import Timesheets  doesn't list Tsheets as an option.

Selecting Quickbooks for the current date range results in a message that no timesheets are available for import.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot, @KarlInOz. Let's work together and get this resolved.

It could be that you're going through a browser issue which is why you're experiencing this difficulty. This unexpected behavior can be resolved with basic troubleshooting on your browser.

To confirm, let's first use an incognito or a private window on your Chrome. To do this, press these keys together CTRL+Shift+N, then log in to your QuickBooks and see if it works.

If it did, clearing the browser cache on your Chrome and deleting temporary internet files will allow QuickBooks to bring forward a fresh page to reorganize your files.

If this doesn't work, try using another supported, up-to-date browser.

Please don't hesitate to reply if you have any other questions. We're always delighted to help you some more.

Can I still approve Tsheets time in QBO?

Hi,

So I tried using Chrome with an incognito window and I tried using Firefox, both with the exact same results as above. I cannot seem to approve Tsheets timesheets from within QuickBooks as I was able to last year. It was so much easier when you guys had the icon(button) at the top right of the interface to approve timesheets. It is now no longer there and it seems the functionality is broken.
