How to work around confirmation to change account type appearing behind the account detail screen so I can't confirm the change?

When making changes in the Chart of Accounts, the dialogue box that warns about changing an account type appears behind the account details screen.  There is no way to get to the confirmation screen behind so I am unable to update the chart of accounts.  Is there a work around?

How to work around confirmation to change account type appearing behind the account detail screen so I can't confirm the change?

Hi dorretti,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

Let's perform some basic trouble shooting steps to isolate the situation encountered. Let's log in to QBO using a new incognito window.  Sometimes cache stores up in the system causing problems on the web pages.

To start with, log in to QuickBooks from a private (incognito) window. Here’s how:

  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)
  • Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)

Then, log back in to QBO through qbo.intuit.com and enter your User ID and Password. And attempt to edit the account in your chart of account.

If you were able to successfully edit the account, I would recommend going back to your regular browser and clear your browsers cache.

if the issue persist, please contact our Customer Care Team to further check the unexpected behavior encountered.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I'm here to help you.
