Linking your bank account to QuickBooks Online is optional. If you prefer not to connect your bank to QBO, we can upload your transactions manually.
 

If you are signing up for QuickBooks Online for the first time, you have the option to manually upload your transactions. Please make sure to have your bank statement downloaded on your end.
 

Here's is the steps to manually upload your transactions:
 

1. Navigate to the Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
2. Click the Upload transactions manually.
   
   
    
3. Drag and drop or Select Files to choose the file you downloaded from your bank.
4. Then hit Continue.
   
   
    
5. From the dropdown menu Select a QuickBooks account for the bank file you want to upload, choose the account into which you want to upload the transactions. Then click Continue.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then Continue.
7. Choose the transactions you would like to import and click Continue.
8. Click Yes to confirm.
9. Once you have accepted the transactions, click Done.

If you have already link your bank and need to disconnect or unlink it, please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Transactions menu, then Bank Transactions.
2. Select the tile for the bank account.
3. Click the Pencil icon then select Edit account info.
4. Then tick Disconnect this account on save checkbox. If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish and try again.
5. Once done, select Save.
   
   

Once you disconnect your bank in QBO, please consider manually uploading your transactions to keep your account updated.
