Thanks but I'm not trying to refund an order that's showing in quickbooks, I'm trying to categorise a transaction from my bank account which occurred before I joined qb if that makes sense. Is this still the correct process?

If you're using online bank feeds, you can go to the For Review page and categorise the downloaded transaction from your bank.
