Bank and Credit Card Sync has stopped working AGAIN

 

It was only 6 weeks or so ago that it wouldn't auto sync for about 10 days. it's now been 7 day since it last synced correctly.

 

It has recognised the correct bank balance this afternoon, however no  transactions have come into quickbooks for review.

I've got options to fix your banking concern, wewashwindowsali.

 

First, we can do a manual update to see the latest available transactions when the automatic download won't work. I'll show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select the bank or credit card account.
  2. Click on Update.

Second, you'll want to check with your bank's website to see if there's an issue on their end. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu, and then choose Add Account to see the listed URL.
  2. Search for your bank and select it.
  3. Copy the URL listed in the window then sign in using your bank username and password. Please note: to make sure you’re using the one listed in QuickBooks.

Once sign-in to your bank's website, here are the things you may consider checking:

 

  • Check your account page for any alerts, notifications, or messages. Any sign-in issues on your bank’s website can potentially block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  • You also check for your bank’s website for any announcements like security requirements.
  • If everything seems fine, go back to the Banking menu in QuickBooks then select the blue tile for the bank account.
  • Hit Update once ready.

Hi GlinetteC,

I have tried what you suggested with no success, and frankly your first suggestion of 'clicking the update button' is rather insulting.

Reading the article you linked hasn't been of assitance. I am already aware on how to manually upload the bank transactions, however as I have found in the past when I have done this, when the Auto sync starts again, it does not recognise the transactions are already in place and tries to duplicate them (completly negating the usfulness of the auto sync.)

 

There has been no updates / messages from my bank website, nor has any of the details been changed.

 

Also if you note what i have previously said, Quickbooks is updating the bank balance, however not adding in any transactions for review.

 

the last sucessful update of the bank transactions was 12/06/2020,  10 days ago

While the Community can provide answers and troubleshooting solutions to certain questions, there are things that only our phone support can do to resolve the problem. Since none of the steps shared above fixes the issue, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team.

 

This team has the tools that can help investigate and identify the root cause of this matter. This way, they can determine why the bank transactions are not showing up in the For Review tab on the Banking page. They can also communicate with your financial institution to check if this problem has something to do with the connection.
