need to reconnect to ATO for BAS. No option to connectHow can we do this? We have access to Access Manager

There are reasons why this option is unavailable, brettbjp. I'm here to provide the information you need about connecting to the ATO.

Please be aware that if you're a QuickBooks Online Accountant trying to enable electronic lodgement for your client, you won't see the option to Connect to the ATO. This task can only be completed by the business owner.

Additionally, if electronic lodgement was enabled in the past or if your QuickBooks Online company has not yet transitioned to the current GST experience, you will also be unable to see the Connect to the ATO option. To resolve this issue, I recommend reaching out to our live expert support team. They will be able to review your account and utilize their tools to enable this option for you.

Here's how you can connect to our live expert:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click (?)Help at top right corner.
  3. Enter your concern and click Let's Talk.
  4. Select Contact Us to connect to our live support agent.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.
  • Please note that our live support team is available on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM AEDT.

For more information on connecting the ATO to QuickBooks Online, please refer to this article: Connect QuickBooks Online with the ATO to Enable Direct BAS Lodgement.

Additionally, I've included this article that can assist you in the future with reporting Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) Instalments on Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) in QuickBooks Online: Reporting PAYG Instalments on BAS and IAS.
