I am missing a GST code I had before?

Previously the tax code 'GST on purchases' was showing in my GST drop-down when creating transactions, but it's not showing in the list anymore?

Tax codes can be turned on and off in your GST centre. If your list of GST codes seems to be missing all the options you previously had, you can check to see if one has been turned off by:

  1. Select the GST tab.
  2. Select the Settings option, then Edit Rates.
  3. Above the Actions column, select the small 'gear' icon and choose Include inactive.
  4. Switch on any codes as needed. If the missing code is already showing as switched on, try switching it Off, then back On again.
  5. Refresh the page and go back to your transaction to select the correct GST code from the drop-down.

Depending on if your file is on Simpler or Detailed GST, there may be some codes that are not automatically available to you. As an example, 'GST on non capital' is a code only available on Detailed GST. If you would like to switch between Simpler and Detailed, please review this guide.
