Sync with Square stopped syncing

I got an email today saying Sync with Square is paused because I need to update my settings. It's worked perfectly for six months, so I'm not sure why it's stopped now.
I've followed the instructions in the email to edit details in Sync w Square in 'Defaults for Unmatched Items'. When I get to 'Default GST tax name and rate', there is no drop down option for what it should be set to. (Screenshot attached below)

This is the suggestion in the email I was sent: Select an appropriate account from the drop-down. If the account is not there in QuickBooks, you must create it there and then come back to this page. Transactions should start syncing again.

How do I know what the appropriate account is?

Thanks

Sync with Square stopped syncing

Hi kathroids,

Looking over our support article here that goes step-by-step in syncing square with QuickBooks. The appropriate account they are referring to is the default account you would have in QuickBooks where you'll be able to track your Square sales, expenses and fees.

Based on your screen show I believe it would be best to check that the Square Income account you've chosen, if it has a default GST attached to the account. You can check with the below steps:

  1. When signed in select Chart of Accounts
  2. Find the Square Income account
  3. Select the drop down arrow to the right of Account History, then select Edit.
  4. Choose the default GST code you wish to attach to the account.
  5. Then hit Save and close

Then please refresh and return to the page in your screen shot and check there is now an option to select the GST code.

Let me know how you go,
