Why isn't leave deducting from my employee's hours worked?

When I select Take Leave and enter the leave hours, it doesn't deduct from their total hours worked - why?

Why isn't leave deducting from my employee's hours worked?

If your employee is set up to use timesheets and you enter in Leave Taken in a pay run for them, a deduction line will not be included to reduce the employee's hours worked. It is expected that timesheets will only exist for the actual hours worked, so there would be no need to reduce hours. You can check this by:

1. Select the employee's name, then Pay Run Defaults.

2. Review the Timesheets option near the top of the page. Change this to 'Do not use timesheets' and save, then go back to the Pay Run and select their Actions button, then Recalculate
