W1 and W2 tax codes are applied correctly in the payroll journal and my tax setting is for payroll reporting on a quarterly base. i don't seem to find the reason why it's not appearing in my Bas. can anyone help me?
Hi astridel,
It sounds like you've done some adequate troubleshooting yourself, so good on you for that.
These ones can be a bit tricky without having a proper visual of your file.
I believe it would be best if you could reach out to us directly either by Phone Call or Live Chat.
The agent who picks up your enquiry can use SmartLook, our in-built screen sharing tool to have a look around in your settings and find exactly what is causing your w1 to not show up in the BAS.
Here is a link to our support page here where you can find support for Phone or Live Chat.
I hope we can get down to the bottom of this issue for you and resolve it.
Kristian.
Hi Kristian,
i rang support before posting this question. i found the lady very unhelpful and she didn't really know what i was talking about. she suggested that i should undo my previous BAS and only my accountant can help me she couldn't . I requested to be transferred to a manager but she said "they were busy"!!!!
It a very disappointing experience and i don't know what to do now :(

Hi again astridel,
Sorry to hear about your experience.
Could you please send me a private message with your company ID and email address?
Please don't reply to this thread as we do not want this information out on the internet due to privacy concerns.
I would like to follow up on this for you.
Kristian.
I have the same issue.
It is because the journals from payroll module.
From GST Centre, run transactions by GST code, select quarter or period you need and you will see which dates are missing.
Go to the chart of accounts payroll clearing account and check the journals and wages expense BAS-W1 will be missing. You can edit, put is on the wages expenses line & save. Re run report to double check.
Re do you BAs and should then match your PAYG Withholding report.
I don't know why it keeps loosing this and I have a few different clients with payroll and only one seems to do it.
Unsatisfactory that you were told to leave to your accountant. These programs are suppose to be helping not making life more complicated. If they won't put you onto a supervisor, call back & speak to someone difference or email your QBO account manager.
Good luck, hope this info helps. :)
