Being able to customise a program's interface to suit your taste is amazing, Michael.

 

Though that is quite an idea, it is not yet possible in QBO. I'll share this to our Product Development Team. They'll evaluate and put it into consideration for product updates.

 

If you're referring to your sales form templates, here's how you can change the colours:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Custom Form Styles.
  2. Look for the form style and click Edit.
  3. Under the Design tab and click Splash on some colour.
  4. Choose the colour you want.
  5. Click the Preview PDF button to see how your form looks like.
  6. Select Done.

The ability for an organization to have company files in different colors is essential.
This would ensure people know when working on different files.
It can be done on the desktop version, why hasn't it been incorporated into the online version.

Thanks for joining in this thread. I get how helpful for you and your client the option to customize colors for your company files. Currently, you can change to dark theme mode in QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

 

  1. Click on the Gear Icon or Settings icon.
  2. Click on the QuickBooks Labs.
  3. Look for QuickBooks Themes.
  4. Click on on ON.
  5. You can always turn it off if you want to revert the themes to regular QuickBooks Online interface.

 

Furthermore, the QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop versions are two different business applications. So there might be features that is offered in the desktop version that are not yet available in the online version and vice versa. I'll send a report to our Product Development team about the feature you're looking to let them know.
