My last payrun (24.6.25 - 30.6.25) has gone into the 2025/26 financial year instead of the 2024/25 financial year. How do I correct this?

Your pay run date depends on your business's financial year, Leesa1.

For the 2025/2026 financial year, your first month should be set to July 2025 to June 2026. On the other hand, the financial year 2024/2025 is for the period of July 2024 to June 2025. Thus, you'll want to ensure that the pay schedule you've set and the pay date are within the 2024/2025 financial year.

You can check this handy guide for in-depth information about managing pay run tasks: Manage Pay Run Tasks.

On top of that, we have ad hoc pay runs, where you can either use your usual pay schedule or create a separate pay schedule on the same frequency, but named ad hoc: Create an ad hoc or off-cycle pay run in QuickBooks Payroll.

We are always available to assist you if you need further assistance or have additional questions about your payroll tasks in QuickBooks Online. We're eager to help you succeed, Leesa1.
