Job Keeper Payment with a Forward Paid Date.

I want to put my jobkeeper start FN03 on my payrun at the end of April. It is paid on the 28/04/2020 which is in the correct period. An error occurs stating Period can not exceed payrun period ending, I thought that paid date was the only thing that was important!

Job Keeper Payment with a Forward Paid Date.

1. The option to use the jobkeeper start category is limited to the correct period and subsequent (later) payruns.
2. If the payrun period is before the specific jobkeeper period you wish to start your claim from you will encounter an error as they cannot be forward dated (put on a payrun earlier)
3. Then can be back dated (Put on a later payrun) or added to a separate (Adhoc) payrun dated within or after the specific period.
4. The period's of the jobkeeper fortnights are located in the second drop down when attempting to add the category via actions > add Jobkeeper payment.
5. You also have the option to adjust the payrun's period via Payrun actions > Adjust Pay Period

For example, if your pay run's period ending is 16 April you cannot, in that pay run, apply a fortnight start of "FN03" to indicate an employee will commence receiving payments in the fortnight period 27 April to 10 May. If attempting this you will receive an error Period cannot exceed payrun period ending and you will be unable to finish the action.

Please Note, the "paid" date of the payrun is the most important factor for reporting the employees payment to the ATO for qualifying for JobKeeper (The period is less important for this).
