Hi usermike-critchley,

 

Are you getting a validation error when trying to lodge the pay event in QuickBooks Online Payroll? There's a new validation warning added to pay events that will be triggered if the pay date of the pay run is before the date of the pay run is finalized. You'll have to either unlock the pay run and adjust the pay date or submit an updated pay event.

 

To unlock a pay run: 

(Note: A pay run can't be unlocked if automated super payments have been made from the pay run.)

 

  1. Click on the Employees tab, and click on Pay Runs.
  2. Locate and open the pay run.
  3. Click on Pay Run Actions, and click on Unlock.
  4. Enter a Comment, and click on Unlock.

To create and submit an updated pay event:

 

  1. Click on the Employees tab, and click on Reports.
  2. Click on Single Touch Payroll.
  3. Click on Create update event.
  4. Select the Financial year and pay schedule, and click on Create.
