How do we archive a Job%3F

ok Thanks - But I don't want to necessarily delete the job just archive it. Is deleting the same as archiving - what if the Job ramps up in say 6 months.? can we obtain the old data?

Hey there, @PeteHS.

Great news- deleting a job in QuickBooks Time actually archives it, so you can access it later if necessary. Here's how you can archive:

  1. Go to Jobs.
  2. Select the trash can icon to archive. If the job is assigned to any team members, a confirmation message displays. To confirm the deletion, select OK.

Note: To restore a deleted job, contact QuickBooks Time Support. If you know you will eventually need to restore that job, it is best to unassign the job from all team members instead.

You can read more on managing jobs within QuickBooks Time by checking out this article: Create and manage jobs or customers in QuickBooks Time.

I'm just a post away with any other questions you may have! Have a fantastic start to your week!

Can I still access data from reports on a deleted project / job after it's been deleted?

Hello there, ivan.

Once you delete data, the option to review it on the report is unavailable.  However, you can contact QuickBooks Time support so they can guide you in restoring the data. You can view their contact information through this link: Contact QuickBooks Time.

Feel free to browse this reference as your guide in managing jobs: Create and manage jobs or customers in QuickBooks Time.

I'll be around whenever you have concerns with your QuickBooks Time account.
