my employee says it has been deleted when it has not and will not let me enter a timesheet

Let's work together to find out the root cause of the inability to enter a timesheet due to a deleted employee and ensure you'll be able to sort this out, SteveMc1.

First, I'd like to clarify if you've encountered an error when trying to enter the timesheet? Additional information would be much appreciated to help us get on the same page and provide an accurate resolution.

In the meantime, we can try making the employee inactive and active again.

  1. Go to the Payroll menu.
  2. On the Employees tab, click to choose the employee.
  3. From the Employee details page, click the Actions button.
  4. Click Change status.
  5. From the Status dropdown, select Inactivate.

Once done, go back to the Employees tab and filter the page to Inactive Employees. Select the employee you've inactivated and Activate it again.  Then, refresh QuickBooks. If the issue persists, you can log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window to see if this is a browser-related problem. This way, you can access the most recent version of the webpage without storing data that causes this unusual behavior.

If it works, let's clear the cache of your default browser to remove the accumulated cache and help the program run smoothly, or use another supported, up-to-date browser as an alternative.
