Working with an accountant is a great option for ensuring that your books are balanced and that you're meeting the bookkeeping requirements as a self-employed entrepreneur. I love that you're using QuickBooks Self-Employed to manage your finances and I'd be happy to go over the options available to you at this time.
QuickBooks Self-Employed Canada doesn't currently have the option to connect with an accountant directly through the program. Our product development team knows this is an important feature for many users, so it's something they're continuing to explore with the development of the program. I encourage you to share your thoughts about it in the form of feedback by following these steps.
- Select the Assistant feature.
- Type and enter "feedback."
- Follow the prompts.
In the meantime, you can consider downloading or exporting reports through the Reports tab to share with your accountant or find some other way that works for the both of you to get them the information you need.
