Hi batemanj,

Running multiple businesses with QuickBooks Online is a convenient way to keep your bookkeeping records in one place. Since you're able to subscribe to multiple accounts with the same username and password, switching back and forth between companies is as simple as selecting the account upon sign-in. I'd be happy to explain why you're still seeing your inactive account showing up on the 'select company' page.

If you just recently cancelled your QBO account, the account will remain active until the end of the billing cycle. The account will continue to appear in the active accounts list until it is officially inactive.

Once it's inactive, you still have access to your account information in a read-only format for 365 days. The account will be under the "Cancelled Companies" list, and you'll see a notice beside it stating when all account information will be deleted.

I hope this helps explain why you're still seeing your inactive company in the list upon sign-in.
