How can I change company type and add tracking of inventory units

Hello infoshares43,

 

Here's how you can change your company type:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Company tab and go to the Company type section.
  3. Update the information in the Tax form and Industry fields.
  4. Click Save and Done.

Meanwhile, the inventory tracking feature is only available in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced. You might want to upgrade if you're using the other plans (Easy Start or Essentials).

Here's how to enable the inventory tracking feature:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Sales tab and go to the Products and services section.
  3. Mark the Track inventory quantity on hand box.
  4. Click Save and Done.
