Finally.  We have Workforce up and running and everyone connected.  And also a really thank you to Workforce for finally making CSST work in Canada.  It was annoying and wrong to keep doing CSST as a separate health  insurance because in Canada this is a taxable benefit - now we are finally legit. 

 

SO - Everyone-  I thought I should update you all since I did a lot of complaining here until my workforce accounts were fixed. 

Rather than waiting on a phone call for the "next available agent" I used the chat feature in Workforce to connect me to someone who was actually very knowledgeable.  Fixing everyone from a variety of problems like - email addresses and incorrect passwords took quite awhile, - but I never waited to be served and the person I worked with stuck with me - did the legwork to ask the developers while I was on the chat, reset a couple of accounts, etc.  - In other words I was not delegated to the back burner waiting for a call back or to be emailed.  Good experience that day and the time devoted was to fixing stuff not waiting on hold.  Thanks Workforce - We are finally very happy with you.

Not lucky. Persistant and patient.  Make sure you call or text WORKFORCE Support - not quickbooks support

Hello there, lindzee.

 

QuickBooks Workforce is an online portal that allows you to access your pay stubs and tax information created by your employer.

 

In connection with this, there isn't a way to reset your workforce account. If there is a need to update some information, you can reach out to your employer so he can update it for you.

How do I reset a workforce account for portal login?

I do know what workforce is, but here is (are) the problem(s): 

1.  One person's email will not send - saving the check mark to invite to workforce portal unchecks itself every time I navigate away from employees.    

2. Only 2 of twelve employees received the invite email although all twelve show as sent, and I have already tried re-sending several times.  I know these are the correct emails , not mistyped because we use them everyday. 

3.  Of the two who received invites - only one could create an account.  the other one received a message stating the account was already in use??? and we cannot reset her password - it just goes in circles.  

4.  I tried logging in to workforce portal since the information states that my regular Quickbooks  password will work and I receive a message that no paystubs are available. 

5.  And it seems the support line phone number has disappeared from our interface at least for workforce, and no one calls back. 

6.  I have already reset app data - cleared my cache, rebooted and tried every support technique i could imagine.   

If you can help solve this or direct me to someone who can it would be very appreciated.

  1. Click Help inside QuickBooks Online.
  2. Choose Contact us.
  3. Enter a brief description of your issue, then click Let's talk.

This is incredibly unprofessional and needs to be corrected simply to reset a password and login to an account.

The last step I get stuck at says:

We weren’t able to show your payroll info with an! In a red circle refreshing your screen off and fixes the problem.

Nothing fixes this problem!

How do I reset a workforce account for portal login?

It seems to me that the engineering team of this site needs to be scrapped and started over. I have read through thousands of forums of people complaining about this for quite some time with run around responses. For a company so large and also pumping out advertising of a faulty product is very unprofessional. I have been trying to log in for months with no success and my employer had confirmed several times that it is set up and linked. This NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED!!!!

How do we actually reset it for the employee to access the pay stubs?   Employees are being told to contact their employer, however I have found NOTHING that tells me how I can reset this for them.

If there isn't a way to update it, and tells the employee to contact their employer, how is the employer (me) supposed to update/unlock it?  I'm not able to invite again (already invited and set up), employee doesn't want to change his email (because why should he have to?) and there is absolutely NOTHING out there that tells us (employers) how to help the employee.

It actually get worse.  I finally got in touch with quickbooks Payroll support and they initially knew nothing about any fix for this iOS any way to reset anything... the technicien  put me on hold to see what she could find out and finally came back with a solution for me to ask everyone to give me their personal email and set up new logins using the personal email.  I guess folks who only use the one email will have to stop getting paid....  

 

this is crazy.  And yes, very sad.   We are looking for a different payroll solution.

Same problem here. One employee trying to set up his access to workforce receiving message "email address already in use". He does not remember ever setting up anything with intuit and no passwords work. He cannot reset password because when he try's it says "email address not found". Stuck in a loop. He does have another email address but we cannot find a way to change his address in QB and send him another invite. And no, he cannot sign in and change it himself because his address that is already in use is not found. Seriously?

We have the same problem.  Those that did try to set up an account received the same message you did.  I was the only one who tried using another email because I am also the quickbooks admin and payroll person so I figured i wasn’t compromising anyone’s privacy.  As you may expect it didn’t work at all.  Everyone is having the same experience and Quickbooks support has no idea what to do no matter what you hear.  Its time they devoted energy to fixing this before everyone moves to another payroll provider.  We are scoping several options.

At this point in time for this particular employee, after I run payroll, I just send him the payroll stub from the Send Forms option to his email.  I'm glad I'm not having to do this for all 60 employees!

We have found a workaround for our employee having this issue as described above. We had him go to the Turbotax website and set up a new account there. Use same email address, the key is that Turbotax will ask you to set up a User Name, (they call it User ID). Once they are are set up with a User ID, have them go back to the Workforce page and sign in using their new Turbotax User ID instead of their email address, (delete email address from the User field if pre-filled), and of course the new Turbotax password. He was able to sign right in and view his payroll.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for joining this thread. I know how important it is to access your workforce account to view your paycheques, T4s, and other payroll information. For your workforce account to be linked to your employer's company, an admin user in the payroll account must first send you an invite. Here's how to do that.

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. From the left, select the Employees menu.
    • For a new employee, select Add an employee.
    • For an existing employee, select the employee’s name, then select the pencil icon next to Pay.
  3. In Personal info section, add your employee’s email address, then select the checkbox for one or both of the options available:
    • Invite this employee to track and record hours they work.   Note: This will only be available if you are using TSheets.
    • Invite this employee to view their pay stubs online.
  4. Select Done. The invitation will be emailed to your employee. Once they accept the invite, you’ll see a message "Good news! Your employee is ready to view their pay stubs online" in Personal info section.

 The invite is valid for up to 30 days from when it was sent by your employer. To accept your invite is just a few steps. 

  1. Look for an email from Intuit Services ([email address removed]) with the subject "Finish setting up with [business name]." If you don’t see the invite, check your spam folder.
    • You may need to let your employer know about it.
    • It’s possible they used an incorrect email address.
  2. Open the email, then select Get access to paycheques to accept the invitation. Remember that you can only use this link once.
  3. Create an Intuit account with your email and a password, or sign in with your existing account.

Once you’ve accepted the invite, you can now sign in to workforce.intuit.com and access your paycheques by going to Paycheques.

 First year engineer students would've had this figured after a few brainstorming sessions!  It's absolutely unacceptable how long this has gone on.  Eighteen months later and I still have clients who's employees cannot access their pay stubs.
