Welcome to the Community space, Laurie. The Connect option in QuickBooks Online (QBO) appears if it's your first time using the program and you've gone through the Banking page. I'll provide more details below to help you address your inquiry.
As mentioned, the option on the banking page appears for first-time users, allowing seamless handling of bank transactions when connected to QBO. Therefore, the option to remove it from the page isn't available.
You can manually import bank transactions from the same page. That way, the button will no longer be visible. However, automating the flow of transactions into the account isn't possible in this situation. These are the steps:
- Access your QuickBooks Online company.
- On the left navigational bar, go to the Transaction tab.
- Select Bank Transactions and then click the Upload transactions button.
- Click the Drag and drop or select files and then locate the bank transaction you want to upload.
- Select Open and then click Continue. You'll then be prompt where to add the transactions and have the option to add a new your bank account.
- If you don't see your bank account from the list, click the + Add new button. Enter the important details in each field and then click Save.
- Once done, click the Continue button and then follow the on-screen instructions.
