One QBO account is for one company file. You may manage branches/divisions by utilizing the Class/Location feature available in QBO Plus. Otherwise you should open a new account account for every company and you are allowed to use the same email address. You may switch between company account on the same dashboard or utilize multi browsers (including the private/incognito browser) to open your accounts at the same time.

Then you may have this app to consolidate reports from your QBO accounts.

Hello eliasidnty-gmail,

I know the value in being able to switch between your accounts without having to log out and enter a new set of login information. It's a time saver and means less user credentials for you to remember. I'm happy to share that this is possible in QuickBooks Online, and I can explain how it's done.

As Fiat Lux mentions, one QuickBooks Online subscription is intended for one set of business books. To have 8 separate business in QuickBooks Online, it'll mean 8 different subscriptions. If you're going about creating each subscription yourself, you can select the "Already have an Intuit account? Sign In" after selecting the plan from our Plans & Pricing page. This'll allow you to use the same login information for each one, and then once they're all created and you're logged in, you can use the Switch Company option through the Gear icon in the program.

Since you have 8 businesses that you'd like to have in QuickBooks Online, I recommend speaking with our sales team. They're able to offer multi-business discounts in many cases, so it's a good thing to inquire about taking advantage of in this situation. To reach out sales team, dial 1-888-829-8589 from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET to discuss the options.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to leave a reply here. I hope you have a great week!
