When you want to download your bank statements, you can get the file from your bank first. Then, you may need a converter app if your bank only provides a specific file format. You can check out the available options by navigating to the Apps tab in your QuickBooks Online account and searching through the options there.

The article, Get bank statements directly from your bank when you reconcile, goes over how to connect your bank account, how to download the statements, and also which banks support this feature.
