I would like to fire my accountant. Will I lose my QB profile?

I'm having issues with my bookkeeper/accountant. I would like to let them go, but they are administrators of my QB profile. Does anybody have any experience on this process?

Thanks for reaching out here.  Welcome!  I'm saddened to hear that things aren't going well with your accountant.  QuickBooks Online understands that issues can arise unexpectedly and provides options for you to continue with your QuickBooks goals with peace of mind.  I'd be happy to provide more information so you can get back to business as soon as possible!

 

In addition to the information provided above by LeithG, as a Primary Admin on the account, you can remove the accountant from the user list.  The first step is to ensure your accountant transfers the role of Primary Admin to you.  If your accountant is currently paying for your QuickBooks Online subscription, you can transfer the billing back to you by following this helpful guide.  This will make the account fall inactive until you login and enter your billing information to reactivate the account.  The next step is to remove the accountant.
