Im working with a comp, and they cant access acct because employee is no longer with them. We are going to cut the payment soon. What do i need to prove the acct is ours?

With a few more details, I'm confident that we'd be able to direct you with the steps you need to take, but from what you've got here, it sounds like you've got a situation where the previous master admin of an account is no longer around and you need to take over the account. When it comes to QuickBooks Online accounts, the account ownership is determined by who is the master administrator user. When that's not you and you feel it should be, you can submit a request to petition its change.
The Request to be the master admin or primary contact explains why you might undergo this process and walks you through the steps while also providing information about timelines and how you'll be contacted. I recommend starting there to see if that's what you're looking to do.
