Hi mary53,
It's awesome to hear that you've upgraded to QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019! I hope you'll take advantage to all of 2019's new features that can help you with running your business.
Updating your company files is as easy as opening it in the program while logged in as an administrator. The program should give you a prompt to update the file to open in 2019 and then you'll be on your way. Learn more about how company files are handled in QuickBooks Desktop's different versions here: Company file compatibility with QuickBooks Desktop when upgrading
That's all it takes! Give it a shot. I'll be here should you have more questions. :)
I see what you're saying. Don't worry, I'll help figure this out. Could you walk me through the exact steps you took to update the first file? I want to make sure I'm following you all the way.
