Need to change subscription expire date. Will not let me edit it

Hello rrcfab,

Having control over your subscription dates is a great idea for making sure you're able to keep up with payments and have continued access to QuickBooks Online. I'd be happy to go over this with you so you can get a sense of how QuickBooks Online subscriptions work and what your options are when you'd like to change the dates.

QuickBooks Online subscriptions dates are determined by the day you started your trial or the day you started your subscription and continue on a monthly or yearly basis based on that date. For instance, if I were to start a monthly subscription today, November 11, my next bill and charge would come in on December 11. There isn't a way to go into your settings and change this to a different date at this time.

What you can consider doing is cancelling your subscription and then reactivating it on the date that you'd like later on. Since the subscription period works off the day you subscribe, reactivating the subscription would serve the same purpose. Keep in mind that if you have any active discounts, you lose those when you cancel or change your subscription, so you wouldn't have those upon resubscribing.

Please note that the above is for when you're billed directly by Intuit. If you purchased your QuickBooks subscription through an app store, I recommend checking with the app store support team to learn what your options are when it comes to your subscription periods and dates.

I welcome you to submit feedback about these options by following the steps in our How do I submit feedback? Once you've submitted your feedback, it's forwarded to the product development team for consideration in future updates of the software, so it's a good way to share your input and have your voice heard.

Don't hesitate if you've more questions! I'm here to help. :)
