Change Payments Account

I received payment from a client via quickbooks but it went into an old account. How do I change or update where I want the payments to go from now on? Ive seen instructions for all different versions of QB but not Self-Employed. What am I missing?

Change Payments Account

Hi there CMCDA123,

It's great to hear from you again! I hope that you've been well, and it's awesome that you're still using QuickBooks. I can appreciate how the steps for QuickBooks Online wouldn't work when you've got QuickBooks Self-Employed, and I'd be happy to help you with this so that you can make sure your payments from customers are going to the account you'd like.

While QuickBooks Online has the Payments account features integrated right into the program, QuickBooks Self-Employed users can access their setup for Payments via the Merchant Service Center. When you log in there with your QuickBooks credentials, you can then access the portal to view information and make changes.

If you're having trouble with that, don't worry, our QuickBooks Payments team can help. All you need to do to get in touch is dial 1-833-317-2226 and someone from our team will be able to get you back on track. Agents are available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

Don't hesitate to give us a shout! Have a great weekend.
