Connecting your bank account to QuickBooks Online means that you'll save tons of time and effort with your bookkeeping. Having the ability to automatically upload your banking transactions makes reconciliation so much easier, and gives you the confidence knowing that all of your transactions have been accounted for. I'll explain what you should do next if you're running into issues connecting Coast Capital with the Bank Feed.
The steps for resolving connection issues will depend on what error message you're getting. There's tons of great support articles here in the Community that help explain how to resolve various errors, so I recommend searching the error message in the forum for more information (e.g. Fix bank error 108).
One step that's often common among most errors is to try manually updating the account by clicking the Banking tab, then select Update on the right-hand side of the page. This can sometimes re-trigger the upload and bring in your transactions.
You can also try editing your bank's sign-in information by clicking the small pencil icon next to the bank you're using, and selecting Edit sign-in info. This can sometimes relaunch the connection.
If you're still unable to connect to your bank, our tech support team is standing by to help you.
Have a great day.
Hi QBO team,
You need to stop with these generic answers please. Coast Capital updated their system and QBO needs to update this on their back end. Are you aware of this and when will it be done?
Hi Greg. We've been made aware that Coast Capital Savings has made some security changes, along with other financial institutions. It's our priority to ensure this doesn't cause issues when trying to connect to QuickBooks Online.
I'm here to help, and I'd really like to see this get sorted out for you. As I mentioned above, bank errors can be unique and specific to each account. Please reach out to our tech support team if you're having issues so they can address your specific error message and get you back on track.
I'm here if you have questions. Cheers.
Hi Greg. There isn't a currently available ETA for this, but I can assure you our engineering team is working diligently to ensure all connections with financial institutions are restored. I'd be glad to update you on this thread if I learn more in the coming days.
I would like my Coast Capital bank account to connect to Quickbooks Online. It literally does save me hours when transactions are downloaded instantly. Quite the bookkeeping headache to have to enter things in manually.
Please update it soon!
Hi Samantha. I appreciate you reaching out about this. I'm passing on your urgency, and that of others, to my team. I know how much you love the Bank Feed and how much time it saves you. I can assure you that this is being worked on, but your feedback helps us keep our team informed about the needs of our customers. I'm sure a resolution is around the corner!
Hi Fred_Cutler_WeVu. I know how important the connection to Coast Capital is. The bank feed works to save you time and effort in your bookkeeping, which is what QuickBooks is all about. I want to make sure your voice is heard, so I'd recommend reaching out to our tech support team to make any requests regarding your subscription. While the Community is a great place to discuss ideas and solutions, we're unable to access personal account details here. I'm confident an agent will help you with any questions or concerns.
this is a joke on intuits part right?
I use another online bookkeeping system ( zoho books ) with coast capital .....and it was fixed inside of 2 weeks

also the very dumb generic responses in this and many other threads...intuit is a joke
Hello authent. I know you're eager to begin using the bank feed again. I know this hasn't been resolved as quickly as you'd hoped. Our engineers are still working on this and it's at the top of their priority list. The most important thing for us is your account security, so we want to make sure things are connected properly.
For any account-specific requests, please get in touch with our tech support team.
all i can say is try it ....I use zoho for myself.....but the "real books" are being kept n QBO , as I couldnt find a bookkeeper to work with zoho...at least one local to me
zoho has a free trial ...make sure you are starting with the correct version ....if your canadian ..the CDN version ....it is easy to start with wrong version ...and they cant convert it ..trust me I know
invoicing is better, interface is better, support ..if rarely needed is better....would I put a multi milion dollar org onto zoho ...probably not ....mind You QBO ...sucks , not matter the size of company ..thats my opinion
