How come the bank fees are not showing up in my Bank Reconciliation?

Hi there, 

 

Reconciling your accounts can be a time-consuming task but don't worry, I'll be happy to help make the process as seamless as possible. 

 

QuickBooks provides the flexibility to accurately reconcile your transactions so you can have a $0 difference at the end of your reconciliation. Based on what you've described, I recommend going through your transactions in QuickBooks and make sure they're matching with your bank statements. Normally, the field to enter bank fees shows up on the reconciliation page. If not, I recommend following the steps below to enter the banks fees:

  1. Click +New from the left menu.
  2. Choose Expense.
  3. Choose the Payment account.
  4. Choose an expense account Category such as Bank charges to link the charge to (Note: You can make your own if you're not seeing one you need).
  5. Enter the amount and fill out the rest of the form as needed.
  6. Click Save and close when ready.
