You can change the bank account for payroll by navigating to Payroll Settings, Bevmorgan. Let me guide you through the process to ensure you can pay your employees seamlessly with the new bank account.
When changing your bank account, it's essential to update it in Payroll Settings to ensure that future payroll is directed to the correct account. Note that editing the bank account from the paycheque list isn't possible because it's already recorded.
Also, ensure you don’t have any pending tax payments or payroll transactions. This is important to be sure your bank account change is successful and the payroll funds withdraw from the correct account.
Here's how to update your bank account:
- Access your QuickBooks Online company.
- On the top right corner, click the Gear icon and then select Payroll Settings.

- In the Accounting section at the bottom of the page, click Edit ✎.

- In the Paycheck and payroll tax payments select Edit ✎ and choose the new bank account.

- Select Continue, then Done and Done.
To streamline your payroll process, consider setting up auto payroll and printing paychecks on a QuickBooks-compatible voucher or pay stubs on plain paper. Here are some helpful links, you can use for future references:
