Hi there, sukhpreetsinghsidhu145.
Since you cannot find the transaction after connecting your bank, let's first check to ensure the transactions have been downloaded within the Banking menu. Locating these missing transactions is important for keeping your financial records accurate and up-to-date.
Here's how to ensure your latest transactions are downloaded from your bank account:
1. From the Banking tab, select the bank account you are working with.
2. Select Update to download the latest transactions from your bank.
3. Once downloaded, you must Add or Match the transactions to reconcile them with your records in QuickBooks. Transactions won't appear on your books until they are categorized.
if you confirmed that transactions have been downloaded but are still missing, you can use the search and filter functions to locate them.
Here's how:
1. From the Banking tab, select the account you're having trouble with.
2. Select Transactions to see a list of all transactions in that account.
3. Use the search bar to look for the transaction by name, amount, or date range.
4. If you still cannot see the transaction, select Filter and check that the current filters are not excluding the transaction you are looking for.
5. Adjust the filters as needed and select Apply to see if the transaction appears.
Another way is to check the specific banking tabs, as the missing transaction might already be in the For Review tab, Categorized tab, Match column, or Excluded tab.
If you’re still unable to locate the transaction, it’s possible also that it may be an older entry found in your account history or stored in an uncategorized account.
Please also double-check with your bank website to confirm if they have ongoing maintenance or advisories that may be preventing the transactions from syncing, as QuickBooks only relies on the data provided by your bank.
if there is or the transaction falls outside the limit date range set by the bank, I recommend manually uploading bank transaction for now. Obtain the transaction data from your bank so you can continue working on it.
