I have mistakenly created 3 instances of the same bank account. How do I delete 2 of them?

We can go to the Chart of Accounts and deactivate the two accounts you mistakenly created, Busybeescochrane.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't offer a delete feature that removes the account permanently. Instead, we can make it inactive to remove it from the list of active accounts.

If you've never used these accounts or its balance is $0, you can easily deactivate them. Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, navigate to the Transactions menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the accounts you want to remove.
  3. From the Action dropdown, select Make inactive.

  4. Confirm it by clicking Yes, make it inactive.

Otherwise, if the account you created already has a balance, delete all linked transactions before deactivating them. Please refer to this article for more details in managing your bank accounts: Make an account inactive on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
