Hi lsp2,
Welcome to the Community. Having your bank connected to QuickBooks Online is essential to keeping your books up to date. I'd be glad to provide you with some information regarding the 2FA.
Our engineers are aware of the issue with Scotiabank and RBC banks. They're working together with all the banks that have set up two factor authentication to allow QuickBooks to connect properly. In the meantime, I'd encourage you to complete the 2FA procedure to update your bank feeds in the account.
If you'd like to receive updates on these, I recommend that you contact our customer support team so that we can verify your account and attach it to the ticket. Once your account is attached to the ticket, you'll receive email updates from our Development Team. Here are some options available to reach out to our customer support team.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help.
Any solution to this yet? We are having the same difficulty with many of our clients, mostly TD and Scotiabank. We need to have our client authenticate us in their banking app each time we update the bank feeds.
Hi david1980,
Thanks for joining us here. The multi factor authentication offered by financial institutions is a security measure to prevent unauthorized access to financial information. When working on your client's books, it's necessary to reach out to them for authentication and authorization to their bank information. In order to import transactions directly, the security measure would need to be disabled on the bank's website.
If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to reach back out. We're here for you!
