How to credit note

Hello sasqb,

 

A credit memo or credit note is the term used in QuickBooks to decrease your customer's balance when recording a payment. Let me guide you through the steps.

  1. Click the (+) Create icon.
  2. Click Credit Memo under Customers.
  3. Fill out all required fields. Then, click Save and close.

To apply the credit memo or credit note:

  1. Click the (+) Create icon.
  2. Click Receive Payment under Customers.
  3. Fill out all required fields.
  4. Under Credits, select Credit Memo.
  5. Click Save and close.
