Just migrated to Online. I have a transaction not showing on bank reconciliation, but exists when I search transactions by account. How do I get it to show up when reconciling?

Hi there,

Good to hear from you again! It's important you're able to reconcile all your transactions and I'd be glad to give you a hand.

I recommend making sure the missing transaction is reconciled. Here' how:

   1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.
   2. Under Your Company, select Chart of Accounts.
   3. Locate the appropriate account for the transaction.
   4. From the Action column, select Account History.
   5. Identify the transaction to edit.
   6. In the reconcile status column (indicated by a check mark), repeatedly select the top line of the transaction to change the status of the transaction.

Codes indicate the status of the transaction:
             - Cleared
             - Reconciled
Blank - Not cleared or reconciled

   7. Select Save.

Hello mike_b91,

It sounds like you've already done some research into your options, such as reading threads like this one here in the QuickBooks Community. That's a great way to learn what built-in options are available as well as what other users in your situation have tried. I'd be happy to review these options with you.

QuickBooks Online doesn't currently have an account-to-account data transfer path other than using the export and import options outlined in the following articles.

I hear what you're saying about Excel giving you difficulties though, and in that case, I recommend exploring third party app options. In your QuickBooks Online account, visit the Apps tab and use the search bar to explore the available options of transferred data between accounts. These apps often include reviews from other users, so you can see what others have thought of them as well.

The final option is to simply keep your original account and cancel the new account. That way, you don't have to worry about transferring any data and can keep the account you've been working with up to this point. If that's an option you'd like to consider, here's an article about cancelling that can help you: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription

I also invite you to submit feedback about the available options using these steps: How do I submit feedback? Feedback from users like you helps our product development team as QuickBooks Online continues to grow and evolve by letting them know what you'd like to see in the software.

I hope that helps. I'll be here should you have further questions about these options!
