Re: How do I adjust an inventory value that has a zero quantity?

Hello,

Inventory management is a crucial part of running your business. With the QuickBooks Online inventory feature, you can edit and organize your products and services in a few simple steps. I'll gladly show you how to adjust the inventory quantity on hand:

  1.     Select the Plus icon (+) from the top menu.
  2.     Under Other, select Inventory Qty Adjustment.
  3.     Enter the Adjustment Date.
  4.     In the Inventory adjustment account drop-down, select the appropriate account.
  5.     Select the products in the PRODUCT field drop-down. (Keep in mind that the description and current quantity on hand will auto-populate.)
  6.     For each item, enter either a new quantity or a change in quantity.
  7.     In the Memo field, you can enter the details about the adjustment if needed.
  8.     Select Save.
