Does anyone know how to do this? We did this by accident, but then already created several PO's.
Now its time to send payment..
To think we would have to delete all of those PO's and start again is extremely annoying
Allow me to chime in on this to clarify things for you.
Once you set up a customer with Canadian currency, you're unable to change them to be a USD customer. If you've already processed transactions for the customer with the wrong currency set up, you'll have to delete the progress and re-enter the transactions once you've created the customer with the correct currency.
It's important to note all the important dates and amounts for each of your transactions so that you can re-enter them accurately. If you make the current customer inactive, you may have to make a slight change to their display name when you recreate them as a USD customer. The system won't allow you to create two customers with the same exact name. Simply add a number or symbol to their name in order to differentiate it from the previously set-up customer.

I have an existing customer who had been invoiced in one currency previously and now is requesting to be billed in another currency, e.g. USD and now EUR. We had added in the currency symbol at the end of the company name. My problem now is that I want to create a sales summary report by customers in my home currency, e.g. SGD. How do I combined the sales amount for this company with 2 names instead of showing 2 line items? Thanks.
This problem of Quickbooks, changing customers from CAD to USD is too great to bear. I have already created over 100 customers with all details, 2-days of work. I can't believe there is no solution other than delate and create again. There is NO excuse for software in year 2020 if there is no simple solution.
If Delete-and-Recreate is the only solution, then there should be an Export to Excel function. Then I change "CAD" to "USD" in excel and import it back to Quickbooks. This make most sense. How can any software expects somebody to retype thousands of information all over again just because one field was entered incorrectly? No words.........
Utilize the 3rd party tool to help you. Export the Customer List to Excel, modify the Currency, and reimport it back into your QBO. Make sure to set filter to avoid any duplication

As additional option, explore this payment service to deal with multi currency transactions. You may release invoice and get paid in CAD and your customer will pay in their local currency (e.g US customers pay in USD). It supports QBO.
Happy to take your cash and indeed raise the subscription 'because of all of the excellent improvements made'
And yet simple currency change by editing a supplier cannot be done.
Do not even get me started on the purchase order system. Only Intuit call it a purchase order system. ANyone who uses it simply calls it a waste of bandwidth, time and energy.
I agree that is is unacceptable not to be able to edit the currency after set-up. At the very least, you could make the currency entry more prominent, or add a promt before saving for multi-currency users "Are you sure this customer will pay you in your default currency?"
'Please submit feedback'
It's pretty obvious this is a standard option in other software and should not need your customers telling you that it should be 'A thing'
How about you earn your wage and pass over the feedback you read to your developers instead. We do after all pay a subscription for this shoddy piece of software.
