QuickBooks Online is designed to conform with your evolving business needs. As your business changes and grows, QuickBooks can change with you. If you've selected a particular industry or company type at the time of setup and you'd like to change that, you can do so in just a few clicks. I'll help explain the steps to select a new job category.
To change the industry in your QBO account, follow these steps:
1. Click the Gear icon.
2. Select Account and Settings.
3. In the Company section, click the small pencil icon next to Industry.
4. Enter your new Industry.
5. Click Save.
