I made a mistake and entered wrong customer for a project. How do I change the customer whos project it is? Also how do you merge projects?

I made a mistake and entered wrong customer for a project. How do I change the customer whos project it is? Also how do you merge projects?

Hi there,

 

I'm happy you're taking advantage of the Projects feature in QuickBooks. Don't worry, mistakes like these are common and I'll be happy to share more info. 

 

At this time, QB Online doesn't allow you to change the Project customer. You'll have to create a new project and assign it to the correct customer. Here's how to create a project:

  1. Select the Projects menu.
  2. Select New project.
  3. Give your project a memorable name.
  4. Select the customer you’re working for from the drop-down menu.
  5. Add any notes or details about the project.
  6. Add tasks if desired.
  7. Select Save.
