CO-17 prints or is receiving EFILE error 13961

Issue

CO-17 prints or is receiving EFILE error 13961.

Resolution

Delete and reinstall the PDF printer:


  1. Quit ProFile and any other Intuit software.
     
  2. Click the Windows "Start" icon on the bottom-left corner of the desktop screen. Select the "Control Panel" option and select the "View devices and printers" option.
     
  3. Right-click on the "ProFile PDF Export" printer and select the "Remove device" option.
     
  4. Right-click on the desktop ProFile icon on the desktop. Select the "Open file location" option; the ProFile folder displays its contents.
     
  5. Open the "ProFile PDF Export" folder.
     
  6. Right-click on the "Install.exe" file; select the "Run as administrator" option:
 
 
       7. Click the "OK" button after the ProFile reinstall completes.
 
Check the port settings:
 
  1. Exit ProFile if it is running.
     
  2. Click the Windows "Start" icon on the bottom-left corner of the desktop screen. Select the "Control Panel" option and select the "View devices and printers" option.
     
  3. Right-click on the "ProFile PDF Export" printer and select the "Printer properties" option.
     
  4. Select the "Ports" tab from the top tab menu.
     
  5. In the "Ports" tab, ensure that the "Port" selected is the "NUL" port, and that no other printer is sharing that port:

    6. Delete any other printers sharing this port or move them to a different port. 
 
    7. Click the "OK" button.
 
    8. Open ProFile and proceed.
