On the Info page, ensure that Yes is selected for: Were you married or living common-law at any time in this tax year?
If the taxpayer is a widow, override Field 5773 (T1EFILE) to 1: Widowed or separated for less than 90 days:
Note: If the taxpayer is has been separated for over 90 days, remove the spousal transfer credits manually (override).
For widowed or pension splitting taxpayers, override Field 5522 (T1EFILE) to 1: Marital status indicator:
